Job Description:
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the EdTech sector in Kerala.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the platform’s market presence and capture new business opportunities.
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with educational institutions, government bodies, corporate clients, and other relevant stakeholders in Trivandrum.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements to enhance product adoption and revenue generation.
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients by understanding their needs, proposing tailored solutions, and effectively communicating the platform’s value proposition.
- Nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and drive upsell opportunities.
- Drive sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets, including setting sales strategies, managing the sales pipeline, and closing deals.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.
- Recommend new product features or enhancements based on market feedback and competitive analysis.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics related to business development activities, such as sales results, client acquisition costs, and partnership effectiveness.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven track record (typically 5-7 years) in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the technology or education sector.
- Experience in the EdTech industry and familiarity with online teaching platforms is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities to identify market opportunities and develop effective business strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of educational trends and challenges in the region, particularly related to online learning and digital education solutions.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth through effective business development strategies.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Willingness to work onsite in Trivandrum, Kerala, and ability to travel within the region as needed for client meetings and business development activities.
